Buried treasure

Grades K

Counting becomes an adventure in Buried Treasure.

Students secretly hide treasures, then count forward strategically to discover where they might be hidden. Every move requires careful tracking and attention to number order. Children build confidence counting from any starting number, awareness of patterns, spatial reasoning and directionality, and early strategic reasoning.

A dynamic way to transform foundational counting into meaningful thinking. Perfect for math centers, partner play, or at-home learning.

Ice Breaker

Grades K,1

Ice Breaker subtraction builds powerful decomposers.

Through modeling and strategic play, students experience how wholes change when parts disappear. They build flexible number relationships while strengthening conceptual subtraction. Students don’t just “take away.” They see what disappears, model what remains, discuss strategies, and adjust thinking through reflection.

Because manipulatives come first, abstraction feels natural, not forced. Subtraction becomes something students understand, not something they memorize.
